Love the styling of these things, Corvette Lt1 for added fun and the right amount of chrome and with black steelies they look even better. Sadly, not too many of them still exist in good condition. If I can find a beached whale 9c1 in good shape, I will most certainly look into it.

Will probably be entry level, like a '75 Chevelle. Problem is the Impy SS will always keep it down.

Also, the B-body cars did NOT get a "Corvette LT1".

From my understanding, they did.

no, it was close, but not the one from the vette. Still get the reverse cooling system and some good power, but iron heads and a few other differences

Already is IMO. One of the last 6 passenger RWD American sedans.

I hadn't even heard of them until roadkill. They'll probably be sought after by those who know what they're capable of, but probably not a full blown classic that'll end up on the block at barret jackson or anything.

Didnt the 92-96 Vette have the same LT1 as the B-bodys?

People are restoring them already, it's mainly Europeans though, haha.

"There are some differences between LT1's. The Corvette got 4 bolt mains and Aluminum heads. The F-body cars got 2 bolt mains and aluminum heads. The '94 - '96 Buick Roadmaster, Cadillac Fleetwood, Chevrolet Caprice, police cars and the Impala SS got the 5.7L with 2 bolt mains and cast iron heads and was rated at 265hp. There was also a 4.3L LT1 available in the big cars which is indistinguishable from the 5.7L, except for the different casting number and 4.3 cast into the top of the block just ahead of the bellhousing flange." So sort of, except for the number of main bearings

No. Turbeaux posted up a good quote below.

Notable differences are heads, main caps (Corvette vs. B/F), cam profile, and compression ratio.

I think it kind of is. GM's final B-bodies were great cars - spacious, fantastic ride quality, powerful, and surprisingly decent fuel economy. The 1996 Caprice was a much better product than the 2012 Crown Victoria, other than durability, of course.

I'd regret selling mine even more if it does.
